Indication(s): For well-functioning neck and back vertebrae. For localized fluid accumulation and pressure on the spinal cord. The active ingredients have a relaxing effect and can promote nerve impulse transmission between cells. PUUR Herny is good for coordination and helps animals move smoothly again.

Composition: Diluted extract of St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) and Arnica (Arnica montana). Alcohol 35% v/v.

Properties per ingredient:
Arnica (Arnica montana) Is a very beneficial plant.
Arnica contains the substances helenalin and dyhydrohelenalin (sesquiterpenes) which help protect healthy cells. In addition, they are good for the nerves and intervertebral discs.
St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) has a relaxing effect and is good for the nervous system. Furthermore, St. John's Wort has a cell-protective effect.

Dosage and administration
Unless otherwise prescribed by the veterinarian or therapist.
The optimal dosage is 2 - 3 times a day:
Dog 10 - 15 drops
Cat 5 - 10 drops
20 drops is approximately 1 ml.

If it is difficult in practice to administer this product multiple times a day, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dose. The product will still be effective, but the response may take slightly longer.

Administration
Administer this product directly into the mouth with a plastic syringe, possibly diluted with a little water. Preferably not simultaneously with a meal, as the product works better when absorbed by the clean oral mucous membrane.

If an animal does not like the product, the drops can be given on a small treat.

If a cat does not accept the drops, put the drops on a warm spoon and let the alcohol evaporate from the product. Then administer it diluted with some water or milk directly into the mouth with a syringe. The drops can also be applied to the top of the paw; check whether the cat licks the drops off its paw.

Advice for use
Ensure calm, even movement; avoid sudden stops as in play. The use of a collar should also be avoided.

Duration of treatment
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days.

For chronic discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, a maintenance dose can be adopted. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully observe the animal's reaction. Initially, a higher dose may be necessary; this product can be safely given in a double dose. Gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dose.

This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to include a stop week every 6 to 8 weeks. This allows the 'stimulus' to be reintroduced after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.

Storage
Avoid direct sunlight and store this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20°C. Keep out of reach of children. The expiration date is stated on the label and the box.

Synergy and combinations with other products
This product can be used without objection in combination with other natural health products and regular medicines, such as painkillers. PUUR Plus can be given very well alongside PUUR Herny. For more muscle strength, PUUR Muscle Building or Phytonics Muscle support can be given; these products stimulate muscle growth and thus provide more strength.

Contraindications
Always consult with the treating veterinarian during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects
To date, no side effects of this product are known or have been reported. With some dilutions and extracts, a short-term exacerbation may occur at the start of treatment. This means that the animal is reacting to the product. In case of severe increase, halve the dosage or temporarily stop and then gradually build up again.
