Our ingredients
For our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, its breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Brazilian Terrier-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruit
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Brazilian Terrier. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Brazilian Terrier belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Brazilian Terrier.
Licorice root
Licorice root is derived from the Greek word 'glyks' for 'sweet' and 'rhiza' for 'root', and is also called Glycyrrhiza glabra. The plant's origin is in Eurasia, North Africa, and West Asia. Medicinal properties have been attributed to licorice since ancient times, and the root is often used for preparing herbal tea.
Licorice root is said to have a soothing effect on mucous membranes and is also believed to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. In addition, it can contribute to the recovery of the gastric mucosa and is said to be good for a sensitive gastrointestinal system.
Nettle
Nettle is a plant genus, with the common nettle and annual nettle found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effects. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports the bladder and hair growth in dogs.
Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and is native to all of Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support a dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.
Raspberry is added to our dog food due to its anti-inflammatory properties, and it can positively contribute to the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.
Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right variant of our Brazilian Terrier dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Brazilian Terrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Brazilian Terrier older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Brazilian Terrier Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Brazilian Terrier does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, we will refund your purchase price.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Brazilian Terrier dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you re-seal as best as possible.
