Our ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The raw fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, aid digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Chart Polski specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Chart Polski. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Chart Polski belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Chart Polski.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant from the carrot family and is recognizable by its anise flavour. The filamentous branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to our dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Banana
The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word ‘banana’ from the language of the Wolof people.
Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain many good fibres and lead to more good bacteria in the intestines.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and it is naturally found throughout Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support a dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fibres.
Raspberry is added to our dog food because of its anti-inflammatory properties and it can make a positive contribution to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also contribute to maintaining eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Chart Polski dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you have sealed as well as possible, into the bin.
