Our ingredients

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

Vegetables

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, of which the common nettle and the stinging nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effects. Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomato on a culinary level, treating it as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical regions where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that bananas were cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'banaana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Dwarf or Toy Poodle dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Dwarf or Toy Poodle is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Dwarf or Toy Poodle older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Dwarf or Toy Poodle senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost entirely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Dwarf or Toy Poodle dog food at your discretion.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you re-seal as best as possible, into the bin.
