Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. This way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that dogs get all the essential, natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for a dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the health of dogs.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Epagneul français specific vegetables, herbs and fruit
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Epagneul français. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Epagneul français belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Epagneul français.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin occurs naturally in a dog's body and is one of the main components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide a sponge-like cushioning in the cartilage.
Chondroitin improves the flexibility of cartilage and also has a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, it also stimulates the production of the building blocks that serve for healthy cartilage.
If chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and strengthens the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a nutritional supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog we use tomato on a culinary level, where we consider tomato as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomato also contains lycopene, to which tomatoes owe their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomato contains a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints in relation to digestion, skin, eyesight and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.
Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fiber for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamins C and K. It could have a supportive effect on the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.

Feeding advice
| Body weight (kg) | Daily amount (g) |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
| 20 - 40 | 315 - 525 |
| 40 - 60 | 525 - 750 |
Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Epagneul français dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, in the bin.
