Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed into our kibble more easily. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the health of the dog.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Grand Anglo-Français de petit vénerie tricolore specific vegetables, herbs and fruit
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Grand Anglo-Français de petit vénerie tricolore. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Grand Anglo-Français de petit vénerie tricolore belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Grand Anglo-Français de petit vénerie tricolore.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus of the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning 'ground apple' and refers to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has a great reputation in natural medicine.
Chamomile can be added by us to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammations and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on the dog and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a 'nervous digestion'. It can indeed have an antispasmodic and antiseptic effect.
Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is said to be known for its positive effects on diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibers for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamin C and K. It could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were grown in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use tomato on a culinary level, where we consider tomato as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives tomatoes their red colour. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving a tomato its red colour, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. For example, research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A- and B-complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.
