Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide your dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Korean Jindo-Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Korean Jindo. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Korean Jindo belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutrition experts, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Korean Jindo.

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, with the common nettle and small nettle found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effects. According to various sources, nettle is antibacterial and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports the bladder and hair growth of the dog.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin occurs naturally in a dog's body and is one of the main components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain fluid, which should provide a sponge-like cushioning effect in the cartilage.

Chondroitin improves the flexibility of cartilage and also has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it also stimulates the production of the building blocks needed for healthy cartilage.

If chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and enhances the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a dietary supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the carrot family. The plant is often found along the coast on wet ground.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fiber, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the immune system and digestion of the dog. It can also have a positive effect on the skin and coat, the functioning of muscles and nerves due to vitamin A, and the maintenance of strong bones due to vitamin K.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you choose the right Yourdog Korean Jindo dog food variant, you can use the following guidelines. If your Korean Jindo is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Korean Jindo older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Korean Jindo Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. Therefore, we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Korean Jindo doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we can't find a solution together, we will refund your purchase price.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Korean Jindo dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you re-seal as best as possible, into the bin.
