Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Podenco Ibicenco. Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like peas, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Nowadays, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Marigold

Marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its diverse medicinal properties for many years. The original calendula species likely originated in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now rarely found in the wild. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

There is much information available about the positive effects of calendula. Calendula can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. It is especially good for skin and mucous membrane recovery, it has anti-inflammatory properties and a regenerative effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestion process.

Calendula is mainly used as an external care product for scratches or skin problems, among other things. But it can also be used internally due to its regenerative properties.

Apple

Puppy, Adult or Senior?

To help you choose the right Yourdog Podenco Ibicenco dog food variant, you can use the following guidelines. If your Podenco Ibicenco is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Podenco Ibicenco older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Podenco Ibicenco Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Let the dog get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Podenco Ibicenco dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
