Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry contribute to good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Schwyzer Laufhund-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Schwyzer Laufhund. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Schwyzer Laufhund belongs. Basil

Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where 'basileus' means king, hence the alternative name 'king's herb'. It is originally found between central Africa and Southeast Asia.

According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment for conditions such as arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart diseases, and stomach ache. Blueberry

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibre for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally, the plant comes from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the bladder environment less attractive for bacteria. Adding cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our variants of Schwyzer Laufhund dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Schwyzer Laufhund is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Schwyzer Laufhund older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Schwyzer Laufhund Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Schwyzer Laufhund does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Schwyzer Laufhund dog food at your discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the bin.
